A photovoltaic system consists of PV-panels converting the solar energy into AC and inverters converting AC into DC. The DC-power can either being used on the spot or fed into the grid.

The Danfoss Solar Inverters manufacturers some of the world´s most efficient ”inverters” for solar panels. When they are connected to the PV-panels, Power is converted from AC to DC with minimal loss of energy as almost 98% of the energy is preserved. The Danfoss inverters also continuously optimize the PV-panels efficiency in order to maximize the overall system energy efficiency.

The Danfoss Solar Inverters was born as an internal Danfoss project in 2002, during 2007 the company started growing. Today the Danfoss inverter technology is part of the SMA Company, but still engineered and manufactured by the Danfoss Company.
